| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Stevia, one of the most beneficial plants on earth, is used throughout the world as a no-calorie sweetener. Native to Paraguay, the leaves of the Stevia plant have a delicious and refreshing taste that can be 30 times sweeter than sugar.
SweetLeafTM brand SteviaPlusTM, a nutritional supplement, uses only a small amount of Stevia to produce its remarkably refreshing taste, and is available in convenient packets or powder form. Sweetleaf also offers SteviaClear, a liquid form of stevia for sweetening beverages and other Stevia products for cooking.

| Customer Reviews: A great sugar-substitute January 23, 2010 Larry Fryer (Salt Lake City, Utah, USA) We really have enjoyed placing refined sugar in our recipes with Strevia Plus. To enjoy the sweetness of sugar without all the side effects is wonderful !
A Whole New Kinda Sugar-Free "Nutritional Supplement" - From An Ancient Source March 7, 2009 K. Hitchcock (South Carolina) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I, like most Americans, am overweight. When I want a way to satisfy my sweet tooth, I can choose sugar or high-fructose corn syrup, or I can choose a sweetener which occurs in nature, and sweetens about 800 times as well as sugar - I think I'm going for the naturally-occurring one. Less calories in, fewer calories to burn off.
It is stevia, Sweetleaf, or Truvia. It doesn't break down in hot liquids, you can bake with it, put it on your cereal, or sweeten what you like.
If you are an intelligent person, you've gotta ask yourself - what's the catch? I had to find out. So I Googled, went to Ask.com, and WebMd. It was as I thought - bureaucrats and their studies were rather vague and inconclusive, but since no formal study has been done, it could be bad. After all, anecdotal evidence of centuries of the use of the stevia plant's sweetening properties - by older cultures than our own - it can't have any credibility, can it? (I was being facetious...) Anyway, stevia is NOT a food additive - FDA says no. So it is in that huge category of "dietary supplements". Read about stevia on your own, and take from this what you will.
